Role Description
We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for our Kathmandu office who will work from client offices in Southeast Asia for 3-12 month deployments. You will serve as the technical bridge between Inductiv and our enterprise clients, ensuring our AI solutions are successfully deployed, integrated, and optimized in production environments. This role combines deep technical expertise in AI systems with hands-on customer engagement. You will work directly with customers to deploy, integrate, and optimize our AI solutions within complex enterprise environments, combining strong technical skills with customer-facing expertise to ensure successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and integrate Inductiv’s AI solutions within enterprise client environments across Southeast Asia.
- Work hands-on with AI/ML models, LLM applications, and GenAI systems to ensure optimal performance in production.
- Collaborate with clients on-site and remotely to understand their technical requirements and adapt AI solutions to their specific use cases.
- Build custom integrations, APIs, and data pipelines to connect our AI products with client systems (ERP, CRM, data warehouses, legacy systems).
- Troubleshoot and optimize AI system performance, addressing issues with model inference, data quality, and integration challenges.
- Work closely with internal AI research and engineering teams to communicate client feedback and influence product development.
- Create technical documentation and conduct training sessions to help client teams understand and leverage AI capabilities.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor on AI implementation, building long-term client relationships.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong Python proficiency.
- Experience working with AI/ML systems, LLMs, or GenAI applications in production environments.
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles (consulting, solutions engineering, technical account management).
- Strong capabilities deploying and debugging AI/ML production systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC), databases (SQL/NoSQL), and data pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain AI concepts and technical solutions to diverse stakeholders.
- Comfort working independently in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
- Willingness and ability to work from client offices in Southeast Asia for 3-6 month deployments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills):
- Hands-on experience with LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, or RAG systems.
- Knowledge of AI model deployment frameworks (TensorFlow Serving, TorchServe, MLflow).
- Familiarity with enterprise software ecosystems (Salesforce, SAP, Snowflake, Databricks).
- Understanding of AI evaluation metrics, monitoring, and observability tools.
- Experience with vector databases and semantic search systems.
- Knowledge of enterprise security requirements and compliance frameworks.
- Background in technical sales or solution architecture for AI products.
